Some personal data processed by or on behalf of Her Majesty's Receiver-General or Her Majesty's Deputy Receiver-General ("HMRG") in the discharge of their functions may be exempt from the data subject rights and controller's duties in Part III of the Data Protection (Bailiwick of Guernsey) Law, 2017. Other exemptions and exceptions may apply.

Her Majesty's Receiver General is appointed by Her Majesty the Queen to administer the affairs of the Crown's estate in the Bailiwick of Guernsey.

Her Majesty's Receiver General is responsible for:

Her Majesty's Receiver General in Guernsey deals with escheat and bona vacantia where the property in question is situated in the Bailiwick of Guernsey. The Receiver General may also claim on behalf of the Crown bona vacantia (wherever situated) that belonged to a deceased person or a dissolved registered company within the Bailiwick.
