A partner at Lefebvre Chambers has won the Law Officers Pro Bono Legal Award for 2017.  Advocate Paul Lockwood who was called to the Guernsey Bar in January 2005, received the award at the dinner following the annual sitting of Chief Pleas which marks the start of the Royal Court year.

HM Procureur Megan Pullum QC, as head of the Guernsey Bar, had again invited members to submit entries for the community legal award, which recognises voluntary work done by its members.

In connection with his pro bono work for the Citizens Advice Bureau, Advocate Lockwood has for many years given freely of his time and expertise to support a number of people who would not otherwise have had access to legal advice.

Megan Pullum QC was delighted to announce him as the winner of the 2017 award and to extend her congratulations to the other nominees.
